Transportation in DUBÁI – How to go to the airport and move around the center?

Dubai International Airport is just 4 km from the city center. This is one of the busiest airports in the Middle East thanks to its flag carrier: EMIRATES . From Spain there are regular flights with this airline from Madrid or Barcelona.

When you arrive at the Dubai airport and pass all the entry and immigration controls, you have several options to get to the city center. At the airport you will find very good signage and these are the different means of transport that allow you to get to Dubai :

Transportation from Dubai AIRPORT to the city:

CAR rental in Dubai:

Renting a car in Dubai is quite cheap if you compare it with other countries or with Europe. There are many companies that operate and most have offices at the airport. Some of them are Hertz, Avis, Europcar. However if you are a luxury car lover you can opt to hire Ferrari Dubai or any sport cars relatively cheaper as compared to other countries.

BY METRO:

The metro to Dubai airport is one of the cheapest and fastest ways to travel to the center especially if your hotel is close to any of the metro stops. Keep in mind that the metro does not run all night and on Fridays it has a shorter schedule.

Trains leave Terminal 1 and 3 every 10 minutes. The service begins at 5:50 a.m. and ends at midnight. There are no services on Fridays until 1 pm. You can buy the ticket at the airport station, the cost depends on how many zones you will need. Keep in mind that traveling in the first train car is more expensive, to get there you need a ‘gold class’ ticket . There is also a wagon for women and children only.

BY BUS:

The bus is cheaper than the metro or taxi but it is also slower. The airport bus stop is well signposted, once there ask which one suits you best as it depends on your final destination. You have to buy the ticket before getting on the bus because they don’t sell them.

BY TAXI:

Luckily for us Rent a Car Dubai Monthly. The taxi ride from the airport to the center of Dubai is not too expensive especially if you split the trip between 4 people. There are different types of taxi at the airport, some normal (cheap) and others more expensive (luxury). The difference is that luxury taxis are usually better cars. The journey lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Getting around DUBÁI [Transportation]:

THE METRO in DUBÁI:

The metro is the easiest transport to use in Dubai. It has two lines that run mostly on elevated platforms. If your destination is close to one of its stops, it is the best means of transport.

IMPORTANT: when buying the ticket you must indicate how many areas you need, prices vary depending on the areas you cross. If when leaving you made a mistake and needed a 2-zone ticket and you only have a ticket for one zone, you will be forced to buy a ticket again. Also checkout: Profitable Business Setups in Dubai

The TAXIS of DUBÁI:

Taxis in Dubai are very cheap and the best way to get to certain areas where the metro or tram does not reach. Once you get in the taxi, simply indicate your destination and the taxi driver will start his meter. It does not hurt to control the route through the mobile’s GPS to avoid misunderstandings and see that we are going to the indicated destination.
