Disney Plus Account If you’re like me, you were eager to get your Disney Plus account as soon as it was announced—but I also know that there are people who are hesitant to try it out because they have questions about how the new service works. That’s why I put together this list of five reasons why you should get your Disney Plus account now to help clarify everything you need to know about the upcoming streaming service. Let’s get started!

1) $6.99 Per Month

The price point for Disney’s new streaming service has not been announced. The company says it will be substantially less than Netflix and about in line with what customers pay for a Netflix or Hulu subscription. With limited details, we expect that you won’t be able to watch everything on Disney plus and that certain titles will require an additional monthly fee—similar to how HBO operates today. Considering how successful HBO Go has been, we wouldn’t be surprised if Disney adopted a similar pricing structure for its content.

2) No Commercial Breaks During Movies

One of my favorite features of disneyplus.com login/begin is that it will play movies and TV shows without any commercial breaks. We all love commercials and binge-watching TV, but sometimes it’s nice just to kick back and watch a movie without being interrupted by 20 minutes of ads for products you don’t need.

Since every other streaming service requires commercials, being able to access content ad-free on Disney+ should be reason enough for subscribers to buy into its new service. But there are many more good reasons—which I’ll get into below. If you want in, however, you’ll have to act fast because there are three different plans available when it launches in November—and only one offers ad-free access.

3) Family Friendly

The title of my last post revealed that I’m a geek with a heart, and as such it’s never been more important for me to share my favorite hobbies with those I love. Luckily, my family now has a platform from which they can access all of their favorite programs and movies, with classic favorites like The Lion King, Pocahontas, and Aladdin coming soon.

The most recent addition? Toy Story 4! With so many options, I have no excuse not to spend time with my kids…unless of course if they’re being super cute. But if that happens at least there will be some really fun new shows on Disney+ that we can watch together!

4) Original Shows From Marvel

The most promising part of Disney’s upcoming streaming service is that it will be home to new original shows from Marvel Studios. And these aren’t just any Marvel Studios properties. Some of our favorite heroes are coming back in impressive ways, including Jessica Jones and Daredevil, with Luke Cage getting a third season as well.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which has been running for six seasons now, has also been renewed for its seventh year on air—but it may not run for too long beyond that if you don’t catch up on it through Disney Plus first!

5) Original Movies From Pixar

As part of its expansive library, Disney is also producing multiple original movies that will only be available on its streaming service. While there’s not a ton of information out there yet about exactly what these movies will look like, it seems likely that they’ll include some sort of interactive component.

Right now, we can confirm that Gigantic, a brand-new story from Pixar based on Jack and the Beanstalk, is headed exclusively to Disney+. It appears as though your subscription will allow you to play along with scenes in Gigantic and influence their outcome in different ways—much like how Netflix uses interactive features for certain shows.
